Interview PowerPoint- Who I Am
This
PowerPoint was the first assignment created for Multimedia Authoring in
the Fall Semester of 2008. The idea behind this project was to
create a professional "About Me" presentation that could potentially be
used in an interview setting. After completing this project, each
member of the class presented themselves to Dr. Pastore and the rest of
the class as if they were interviewing for a teaching position.

Interactive PowerPoint Lesson - Stories Around the World
Fostering
independent learning skills, integrating technology into the classroom
and appreciating diversity in literature are the three goals of the
Interactive PowerPoint Lesson. This project was designed for 6th
or 7th grade students who may be just begining or completing a unit on
stories or storytelling, literature around the world or different
genres of stories. Follow the about link to begin a journey
learning about Stories Around the World!
Interactive Inspiration - Odysseus's Journey
Can one program accomodate all
different types of learners? The answer is yes. This interactive inspiration
project adheres to five different types of learners as well as accomodates
students with exceptionalities. In this inspiration project, all different
types of students learn about the journey Odysseus makes in the epic poem the
Odyssey. In a classroom, the project would best be used as a review after
students have read the epic poem. Click the link to see just how this project
reaches out to all learners and learn a little more about the Odyssey at the
same time!
Animated PowerPoint Slide- The Canterbury Tales
What would be a good anticipatory set for a lesson on Chaucer's Canterbury Tales? This single, animated PowerPoint slide can be used as a hook at the beginning of a class or as the introductory slide for a PowerPoint presentation. Photo Essay- Walden in Pictures
So what is a Photo Essay? There are many possible ways to define and describe a Photo Essay, but essentially a Photo Essay is a collection of pictures that tells a story or visually represents passages of text. For this Photo Essay, I took pictures that serve as illustrations for selected passages from Henry David Thoreau's Walden. Follow the link to take a walk around Walden Pond!

Google Documents- The Parts of Speech
How great would it be to be able to save a project online and be able to access it anytime? What about working on a project with someone? Google Documents allows anyone with a free gmail account to create and save documents, presentations and spreadsheets online. It is also to collaborate with one or more people! This sample presentation is a tutorial about the parts of speech that I created with a classmate. Check it out!
Adobe Captivate- Inserting A Graphic Tutorial
Create a movie of screen shots using Adobe Captivate! This could be used in so many ways to instruct students or peers how to do something on a computer. Captivate also records your voice, so you can narrate each step. For this sample Captivate project I chose to create a tutorial demonstrating the steps involved in inserting a graphic or picture into Microsoft Word.
